Hi! It's been a while since my last post. Our school term just ended and I'm really excited to share this fan made animated video of mine for our Flash animation subject featuring EXO's 'Growl' :)
Ayo! I felt like it's already been a month since I last posted in this art blog. HAHA! Anyway, this is my Disney's Frankenweenie fan art which I started working on last November 2012. As far as I could remember, this was supposed to be a halloween facebook art post but sadly never came into completion until today, May 28, 2013. LOL.
So here it is. My fan art featuring Victor Frankenstein and his corpse dog Sparky trying to kill Edgar Gore or E. Gore ( Oh! I love his name :D) for letting everyone in town know about Victor's dark little secret....... Just kidding. They were just torturing him! :D
Here comes my 6th installment to my Girls' Generation 'I Got A Boy' chibi series. This member is Kwon Yuri. She' one of the lead dancers of the group and had opened their song, 'I Got A Boy' alongside Sooyoung. During the opening sequence of that song, Yuri was the only member who was wearing sun glasses. According to an interview or a documentary/'making film' of the music video, it was explained that Yuri had an eye allergy or some kind of itch while they were taping that part so she had to wear glasses to cover it. Although it was expected that it would be obvious that she was wearing glasses not just for nothing, the other members expressed that Yuri's get up turned up to be cool rather than anything bad. :D
Hi! I'm back again with my Girls' Generation chibi series. Let me introduce you to Sunny Lee or Lee Sunkyu. She's the last member to join GG/SNSD and also the niece of the girl group's producer and management agency owner. She's also the smallest member but with one of the most interesting hairstyles posed these past few years. During their I got a Boy promotions, Sunny wore different hair colors for each of their performances :)
Hi! I'm back again with a new post. This is the 3rd installment to my Girls' Generation's 'I Got A Boy' chibis for our local fan club. Here's Yoona, the face of the group and their resident tv drama queen :)
Hi! I'm back again with a new post... But this time, I'm showing you a compiled series of sketches I did last year for my portfolio class :) This artwork or fan art rather features (L-R) Belle from "Beauty and the Beast", Jasmine from "Aladdin", Rapunzel from "Tangled", Cinderella, Mulan and of course Ariel from "The Little Mermaid".
Here's some practice artworks I did last year. These two weren't featured in my printed portfolio so instead of keeping them, I decided to post them here :D
This artwork is something I made for practice and at the same time for my portfolio class. Here's a Girls' Generation's Jessica Vita 500 inspired 'Ice Princess'.
This is my latest speed art work so far... Here's Girls' Generation's Taeyeon as cutie chibi which is featured as one of the merch designs for Girls' Generation Philippines' mini gathering.
Last school term, my Philippine arts history professor asked us to create cartoon characters inspired by Philipine pre-colonial art... So here's what I did.
This artwork is inspired by one of my country's most famous painters, Fernando Amorsolo :)
Last October, I gave this digital art to my cousin Mishy who's also loves Rapunzel like me :) We often watch Tangled together as our 'default' bonding moments... Unlike my first tangled post, I depicted Rapunzel in this artwork as a young artist in the making :D
Hi! I'm back again with some background and character designs I did for my aunt's wedding animation project. I really love doing this kind of style because it kinda reminds me of fairy tale stories, especially those which were immortalized by the Walt Disney Animation studios.
Here are some background designs....
And character turn arounds for the two main characters of the animated short.
Now finally, this is the animated short/teaser for my aunt's wedding last December in Tagaytay City, Philippines. I hope you like it :D
Yesterday finally marks a new chapter in my journey as an animation student. For the next few months I will be working on what I usually call my "production marathon". Yes... for animators like myself, you can't really just get away from your projects just like that and move on to another. For me, I really have to do my thing not just to get through it but to execute whatever it is with all my passion, hard work and of course just the right amount of skills.
Now, I'm pleased to present through this blog my official work-in-progress teaser art works from my thesis project, "Madman Diaries: Blood, Blade, Balloon" which is set to be released this December 2013.
Today is January 9 2013, exactly 10 days before Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert here in the Philippines. I'm so excited to see my idols perform in one huge stage. And as a tribute, let me share these EXO fan arts I did last year during their debut song promotions "Mama".
For this set, I used a slightly anime-ish and at semi-realistic art style to carry the concept and the distinction of each member well. And aside from me, being not so used with drawing anime characters anymore, I also used this kinda vectorized art style in contrast to digital air brushing which was my comfort zone way before I did this. :)
This is my ULTIMATE EXO bias, Byun Baekhyun with his light powers as guardian of Exo Planet. Baek is the main vocalist of Exo and is often called "Bacon" by international fans. He is also known as the Guyliner of the group due to his exemplary talent on putting eyeliner on himself :)
This is Park Chanyeol producing flame bursts as a guardian of fire. He is the main rapper of Exo and is also one of the most exposed members because of his appearance with some Girls' Generation music videos.
Lastly, this is the very aDERPable Do KyungSoo or D.O. as fans call him with his supernatural ability to control earth or land. He is the main vocalist of Exo alongside BaekHyun.
Today marks the official start of my thesis production and the end of my vacation spazzing days. Lol... So to end my kpop vacation, let me share these Girls' Generation fan arts I did a year ago. These "The Boys" inspired fan arts are also featured in my printed portfolio which I did last school term. I hope you'll like them :)
Taeyeon holding the poisoned apple as the fairest maiden in her kingdom, Snow White.
Yoona wielding a sword as Belle with a gothic take on a French fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast.
Sooyoung as the sweet maiden locked up in a hidden tower we all know as Rapunzel. :)
Happy New Year everyone! This is my first post for 2013. I've been having fun with my holiday vacation lately specially now that Girls' Generation has made their comeback after 15 months with their single "I Got A Boy". Well, some people say that they didn't like the song but for me, as a certified Sone fan boy and a music lover at the same time I could say that it's better to improve and make a new beat for a comeback song for these lovely ladies rather than just giving us, their fans the same thing over and over again. So in other words, YES, I'm satisfied with Girls' Generation's comeback single and it makes me rape the replay/refresh button of their music video. Haha!
Here's the link to the "I Got a Boy" music video. Enjoy! :)

Now, here's my first artwork to welcome 2013 and Snsd's comeback :)
My Seohyun fan art for "I Got a Boy" MV teaser. If you can notice, I didn't exactly copied
everything from the teaser photo. But as an artist, I tried my best to fit the concept and the pose to my own style and medium :)
Here's the original teaser photo of Seohyun for their 4th Korean full-length album comeback :)
I hope I can do the other members too while I'm still in vacation. Thanks!
